Driveshaft center support bearings can only be the same type that came with the motor, so it's important to always use the right type. Before removing the driveshaft center support bearing, you have to first take off the rear propeller shaft, remove the clamp that holds the slip joint boot and separate the two half-shafts. Hammer and punch the slinger down with a small space so that you can fit the bearing splitter in place. Slide Tool 1130 between the slinger and the shaft so that neither the tool nor the shaft spline is damaged during further operations. Hold the shaft in a press and push off the bearing onto a shield. To set up the machine, mount a slinger onto the shaft and use the proper installer tool to push it into place. After that, secure the driveshaft center support bearing onto the shaft using Bearing Installer Tool 6052, driving it on using a hammer until the fitting is complete. Combine rubbing them with plenty of clean cloth, then grease the shaft splines with multipurpose grease. Attach the master splines together, place the front and rear half-shafts side by side, slide the slip yoke boot in place and attach a new clamp. Once all other assembly is complete, put the propeller shaft back into place.
