How to Safely Service the Turn Signal Flasher with an Active Airbag System on Dodge Ram 2500?

For vehicles that have air bags, disable the air bag system by cutting the battery's negative cable, so the air bag system discharges after two minutes and you do not risk injury from an air bag deploying accidently. To start, remove the battery negative wire and take off the fuse access panel from the left outboard corner of the instrument panel. After that, take out the combination flasher from the Junction Block (JB). Put the combination flasher in the correct spot on the Junction Block and place the terminals in line with the empty terminals on the block. Tightly fasten the combination flasher so both terminals are set into the terminal cavities. After that, connect the battery negative cable and snap the fuse access panel back onto the left outboard end of the instrument panel.
