Before you can drive the car again, leave the urethane to dry for at least 24 hours after installation. Don't cover the front doors or close the rear glass if pressuring the car could make water leak inside. Clear away excess urethane from the windshield fence so that your paint finish remains, but there are still 1-2 millimeters of bonding material. Slide the new windshield into place, aligning its center with the support spacers, mark its back surface at the spacers and then remove the windshield. Lay the windshield inside up on top of a work surface while placing two padded wooden blocks side by side about 75 cm apart underneath it. Use Mopar(R) Glass Cleaner and a cloth that won't leave lint to clean the inside of the windshield, then apply clear glass primer around the edge. Follow the windshield's molding for application of black-out primer-it should be 15 mm wide on both the sides and the top and 25 mm wide on the bottom-leave the area to dry for at least three minutes. Install extra support spacers along the support brackets; then, set seven foam spacers inside the windshield, just touching the edges all around and put the remaining three foam spacers a few millimetres from the top. At the end of the applicator, make a notch to form a triangular section; from there, evenly apply a urethane bead 13 mm tall and 10 mm wide around the windshield's perimeter, marking the exact heights for the tops and sides. Attach the A-pillar trim, then, helped by someone, lower the windshield over the open frame so that the marks on the windshield match up with the spacers. Guide the lower parts of the glass onto the fittings, using the upper edge to push the glass in place along the A-pillars, always checking that the windshield to roof gap is between 1.5 and 3 mm as you raise the brackets on the support frame. Spray a light mist of clean water onto the support spacers, clean the urethane from the exterior with Mopar(R) Super Clean and add the cowl grille. After that, add the rear view mirror support bracket and finally the A-pillar weather strip retainer. Once the urethane has set, strip the masking tape and check the repair with a water test.
