To serve the rear cross-member, lift the vehicle and hold it up and if the transfercase skid plate is installed, remove that first. Lift the transmission properly and then take off the nuts of the mount. After that, undo the bolts and pull out the crossmember. Place the crossmember where it belongs and screw in the bolts; tighten them to a torque of 102 N.m (75 ft.lbs). Put on the transmission mount nuts and tighten them to 61 N.m (45 ft.lbs), after that, remove the transmission support and put the transfercase skid plate back in place.
