How to service the Headlight Bulb on Dodge Ram 3500 Van?

Make sure the battery's ground cable is out of the circuit before handling the headlamp bulb. Activate the release on the headlamp lever by pressing firmer and pulling up while holding the headlight. Once mounted, remove the headlamp assembly from the mounting adaptor. Unplug the wire connector from the bulb, then turn the locking ring 1/4 turn counterclockwise and pull it back to come loose. Take out the halogen bulb as well as the ring that holds it in the housing. While installing the new bulb, be careful not to touch the glass because it can lead to oil contamination that cuts back on how long it lasts. After the lock ring goes on the new bulb, attach the wire connector and place the bulb inside the housing. With the lock ring, rotate the bulb 1/4 turn clockwise and place the headlamp assembly back in its place. This should also reconnect the negative battery cable.
