  How to service and repair the EGR Cooler on Dodge Sprinter 3500?

  Begin servicing and repairing the EGR cooler by taking off the air filter housing and air inlet tube from the EGR throttle body. Unplug the harness connector of the EGR temperature sensor. Next, unbolt the rear transmission dipstick tube and detach the vacuum line from the EGR Bypass Valve Actuator. After this, remove the bolt for the front transmission dipstick tube and move the tube aside. Detach the EGR cooler engine coolant hoses from the front and rear. After that, disconnect the EGR valve actuator harness connector, EGR Backpressure sensor harness connector, and EGR bypass valve position sensor harness connector. Just remove the bolts owning the two rear throttle body bracket bolts, two upper front EGR tube bolts, front EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolt, two upper rear EGR tube bolts and rear EGR cooler-to-cylinder head bolts. At last, take away the two front bolts for EGR cooler-to-cylinder head, the EGR throttle body bracket and finally the EGR cooler itself.
