How to Remove and Install the Center Console Base on Dodge Stratus?

Before taking out the console, push the parking brake lever up all the way and set the transmission shifter to neutral. Lift up the shift lever knob by turning the set screw at the front of the shifter, doing so without using a trim stick or any kind of tool. Pull the sides of the transmission range indicator bezel slightly and lift it until both lock tabs release from the floor console. Once that happens, disconnect the wire connector from the back underneath the bezel. Now, take out the screws beside the shifter and in the storage console that secure the console to the floor brackets and disconnect the connection to the floor console accessories on the floor. Only then should you remove the console from the vehicle. To set up, align the floor console where you want it and join the connector for the accessories to the floor pan. The rear locator pin on the bottom of the bin should be clicked into place at the slot in the body bracket and the front pin into the shift mechanism. Screw the screws to the brackets close to the floor shifter and in the console storage compartment, secure the armrest to the floor pan and plug in the transmission range indicator bezel wire under the bezel. Ensure the alignment pins are in the holes in the console and press it down until you hear the locking tabs snap into spot. In the end, attach the shift lever knob and tighten the set screw at the front end of the shifter knob.
