How to Service and Repair the Front Emblem on Dodge Viper?

When servicing and repairing the front fascia/hood medallion, slip a plastic trim stick or a hard wood wedge behind the medallion to pull the backing away from the fascia. Apply Mopar(R) Super Kleen solvent or an equal product to the fascia and wipe away any leftover adhesive. If you're reusing the medallion, get rid of the old tape stuck to its back and clean any leftover adhesive with Mopar(R) Super Kleen solvent or an equally good product. Stick self-adhesive tape on the back of the medallion and you can get this type of tape from an automotive paint store. After that, stick a piece of masking tape on the fascia so the bottom is 83mm (3.3 in.) lower than the top edge in the middle. Place a line running down the middle of the fascia on the masking tape using an ink pen. Pull off the top of the adhesive tape cover on the back of the medallion and then press the medallion into place so the top center is on the bottom and center of the masking tape section stuck on the fascia. After checking the alignment of the medallion on the fascia, push down on it with your palm. Heat the medallion with a heat lamp or gun when it's under 21 degrees C (70 degrees F) to help it stick properly; make sure the medallion is never heated past 65 degrees C (150 degrees F).
