Dodge Viper Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace an Intake Manifold on Dodge Viper?
    A:
The first step to replace and remove the intake manifold is to let go of the fuel system pressure. Pull the trunk's lid release handle, remove the battery cover and separate the negative battery on the cable. After that, pull out the air cleaner housing. Before removing the harness from the Throttle Body, cut the wire retainer so you don't harm the throttle body. Disconnect the wiring for the electronic throttle body, remove the PCV hose from the intake, pull off the brake booster hose, the fuel line, the purge solenoid vacuum line and disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector. After that, remove the intake manifold bolts and then remove the intake manifold. You should put a cover over the intake manifold openings when servicing the engine to keep out any debris.
