Before installing the timing cover, make sure all sealing areas are free of grease and oil and use Mopar(R) engine sealant RTV or a similar product around the cylinder head, the ladder frame, at the corner of the
Oil Pan and block and in a 2 mm bead all around the two sides of the oil pan and block. Remove the timing chain cover from underneath the vehicle and set it upwards. Then, fasten it using the upper retaining bolts and secure them with M6 bolts at 9 Nm and M8 bolts at 26 Nm. Fit the accessory drive
Belt Tensioner, install the right
Engine Mount bracket, the upper idler pulley and right engine mount and finally remove the jack from under the engine. Wire the pump and install it, lift the car and protect the oil pan retaining bolts with the timing chain cover. Install the water pump pulley, crankshaft pulley, lower idler pulley and lower A/C compressor mounting bracket and lastly mount the A/C compressor. Put in the accessory
Drive Belt, the right lower splash shield and then lower the vehicle. Set the cylinder head cover, attach the wires from the coils to the electrical connectors, attach the PCV tube to the valve and finish making the hose for fresh air. After that, put in the
Power Steering Reservoir, the windshield washer bottle and the liquid bottle for recovering coolant, then completely fill the cooling system. Reattach the negative cable, fit the air cleaner housing back in, add fluids, crank the engine and look for any leaks. After that, push down the rear of the engine cover first and clip in the front.
