The Ram Air Deflector directs the wind over and up the truck reducing drag and eliminating bugs on the windshield resulting in a less noisy ride. The feature that Ram pickups are known is optional air suspension that raises two to eight inches to overcome ruts, a low roofline that is fuel saving, and the ingenious RamBox that holds tools beside the bed. The interior is spacious with the cabin remaining silent and displaying navigation on a huge touchscreen, making Ram a combination of comfort and work force. A mild hybrid that utilizes e-Torque enhances low speed acceleration and reduces the cost of fuel, and Ram has been working on the durability aspect to ensure that Ram drivers can pack daily without lifting the hood. Molded of aerodynamic panels, the Air Deflector is a slim, durable, panel design that diverts the flow of air around the hood and roof, reducing the level of wind noise and protecting paint against gravel. The panel can be installed by just simple hand work. The initial step is to wash and dry the leading end of the hood followed by the installation of the Air Deflector and the marks of factory holes or the tape line. Snap provided clips/brackets and stuck them into position, removed the backing of any adhesive strips and then placed the piece into the body line. Press the whole length to fix the bond and screws and tighten but without any over-strain. Lastly, close the hood, ensure Air Deflector clears lights and grille, then make a brief drive, then stop to ensure all the fasteners are tight.
