Unscrew the holding nut, unattached the coax and removed the old rod and base. Clean the fender, pass the replacement lead, install the gasket, hand-start the nut, and tighten it with light torque, noting to ensure that the mast remains perfectly straight. Take a to ensure that you do not pinch the cable under panels as it spoils clarity. And lastly, reconnect the coax, reconnect the battery, test reception, and reconnect the trim with snaps to complete the task in a few minutes.
