In this combination of brutes and brains, the Canister Purge Valve maintains low levels of emissions and high levels of mileage by pulsating flow of vapor with electronic precision. Changing the Canister Purge Valve is easy even when the Ram is parked in the driveway. Open the hood, undo the vapor line of the valve, and press the plastic tabs to slide out the part. Unplug its small electrical connector, take note of the keyed connector, and then press the new Canister Purge Valve until it clips. Reconnect the vapor hose, hook the wiring, and restart the Ram to make sure that there are no issues with idle. Pop any code using a scanner and your Ram is now on the road.
