Splint the door, unscrew the bolts which fix the old Door Check to the A-pillar and door, and move it out through the access slot. Replacement in, install bolts manually, tighten them with fingers, ensure detents run smoothly and in right place, replace the barrier and trim, reconnect battery, open and close door a couple times to ensure a silent reliable action, and your Ram is hard again.
