    Attach the cable to the APPS, push the cable housing into the rubber grommet and through the dash panel opening, and install the clip holding the cable to the dash panel from inside the vehicle. Slide the throttle cable core wire into the opening in the top of the pedal arm and push the cable retainer into the pedal arm opening until it snaps in place. Again, check for any binding before starting the engine, and if necessary, use the DRB III Scan Tool to erase any APPS Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) from the PCM.

Use large pliers to connect the cable end socket to the throttle lever ball, then install the remaining cable housing end into the dash panel opening. From inside the vehicle, hold up the accelerator pedal and install the throttle cable core wire and plastic cable retainer into the upper end of the pedal arm, aligning the index slot on the retainer with the index tab on the pedal arm. Reconnect the negative battery cables and check for any binding by operating the accelerator pedal before starting the engine. Finally, install the cable/lever cover.
