How to Effectively Service and Repair an Alternator on 2000 Chrysler Cirrus?

To fix the alternator, remove the negative cable from the battery and the field circuit plug. Remove the B+ terminal cover, nut and wire. Loosen the adjusting bolts, remove the generator drive belt and remove the ABS unit. Slide the alternator out and reinstall by reversing the steps and tightening all fasteners.
