2000 Chrysler Cirrus Engine Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Right Side Engine Mount, and What Condition Factors Should Be Considered on 2000 Chrysler Cirrus?
A: The engine mount on the right is a HydroMount and it may crack, although that does not stop the mount from functioning well and does not need replacement unless there is a fluid leak. To remove the engine mount, hoist up the vehicle and take away the inner splash shield. After that, get off the right support assembly vertical fasteners from the frame rail and drop the vehicle to put the floor jack beneath the engine to take the load off the motor mounts. Take out the three bolts that tie the engine support assembly to the engine bracket, lift away the air conditioning dryer and take out the coolant container, then remove the right engine mount. End the process by taking away the three bolts holding the engine support bracket to the cylinder block. When re-installing the engine, remember that if the engine support bracket ws removed, install it and fix the bolts to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.). Secure the chosen engine mount, then add the frame rail using 61 Nm (46 ft. lbs.) of pressure. Attach the mount to the bolts on the engine bracket and tighten them to 61 Nm or 45 ft. lbs. Install the coolant reserve/recovery container, put the air conditioning dryer in place and add the mounting screw before bringing back the front inner splash shield. Adjustments to the engine/transmission assembly can be made by centering it as and when needed.
