How to Service and Repair a Lash Adjuster on 2000 Chrysler Cirrus?

To work on the lifter and lash adjuster, take out the cylinder head cover and then also remove the camshafts with their cam followers. When servicing, make sure to put the hydraulic lash adjusters in their original position, since they are fixed together. Make sure that even new hydraulic lash adjuster assemblies have at least some oil in them before fitting and properly lubricate the valve before use. After that, fasten the camshafts, cam follower assemblies and cover over the cylinder heads.
