To fix the thermostat housing, remove the negative cable and drain the cooling system. Remove the accessory drive belt and generator to get to. Remove hoses, thermostat and housing, clean surfaces, and install back. Reinsert hoses, generator, and belt, and fill the cooling system and re-connect the cable.
