2000 Chrysler LHS Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Master Cylinder on 2000 Chrysler LHS?
A: Before servicing the brake master cylinder, remove the brake fluid level sensor wire connector from the brake master cylinder reservoir and then disconnect both brake tubes from the brake master cylinder and place plugs at the tube openings. Remove the 2 nuts holding the brake master cylinder to the vacuum booster so you can pull the brake master cylinder out straight. Before putting in a brake master cylinder that needs repair or replacement, it must be bled. Afterward, place the brake master cylinder over the studs on the vacuum booster, making sure the vacuum booster push rod matches with the brake master cylinder piston. Place the brake master cylinder mounting nuts and tighten them to 28 Nm or 250 inch lbs. Hook up the brake tubes to the brake master cylinder primary and secondary spots and tighten them with a torque value of 17 Nm (145 inch lbs.). Lastly, link the brake fluid level sensor once again.
