How to Maintain and Fix a Door Hinge on 2000 Dodge Caravan?

First, press the front door latch, stretch out the door and keep it safely supported using the right tool. First remove the bolts holding the front door to the door hinge and then the bolts tying the door hinge to the pillar and then pull out the hinge. As you fit a new hinge, be sure the hinge pin is fully sited in the door hinge and don't forget to replace the plastic shipping clip with the matching metal clip. You should only paint the hinge if the color is needed and once it's dry, place and secure it to the pillar and then install the bolts to attach the front door to the hinge. Place the door next to the body panels so they have the same distance, then check that all the panels are flush and fix the door alignment if needed.
