Begin with removing the trim from the sliding door and then carefully remove the watershield stuck to the door's inner frame. Slide the sliding door only a bit, then unhook the clip attaching the linkage to the rear latch. Remove the screws from the back side of the door. Then, pull out the sliding door rear latch by opening the rear access hole. Be sure to put in fresh screws on the rear latch when installing them on the sliding door end frame, as the old ones will have a locking patch. Through the rear access hole, put the sliding door's rear latch into place and attach it with the provided screws tightened to 90 in.lbs. Make sure the sliding door works properly and move the clip you attached to the rear latch if required. Next, position the watershield, press it down firmly, check that wires and links are right and install the sliding door trim panel.
