  • Q: How to Replace and Install a Wiper Motor on 2000 Dodge Caravan?
    A: First you remove the wiper unit from the vehicle and take off the wiper linkage and motor mount plate from the wiper unit in order to remove the wiper motor. Remove wiper linkage from motor crank, but do not remove crank from motor; and pull the wire connectors off the back of the wiper motor. Next, undo the motor from the mount plate and remove the bolts which are using to secure the wiper motor in place. To install, put the wiper unit on a suitable work surface and seat the wiper motor on the mount plate and fasten to the plate with bolts. Install wiper linkage and motor mount plate back into wiper unit and hook up corresponding wire connectors to the wiper motor. At last, put the wiper unit back into the engine compartment and attach the wiper unit wire connector to the engine wire harness. Run the wiper motor to ascertain that it parks properly when wiper switch is turned OFF.
