2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Oil Cooler Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair an Oil Cooler on 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Before you can service or repair the oil cooler, empty the cooling system and then take off the two hoses that lead into and out of the cooler. Disconnect the oil filter and the oil cooler items from the machine. While installing, grease the seal and line up the oil cooler on the fitting of the cylinder block so that the flat side is aligned with the dipstick tube. Screw in the oil cooler connector, making sure it's tightened to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). After that, placing the oil filter in and then connecting the oil cooler inlet and outlet hoses. The final step is to add fluid to the cooling system.
