2000 Dodge Ram 2500 Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Window Regulator for Rear on 2000 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: The first thing to do for power window regulator service is to take out the waterdam. After that, extract the window switch from the door trim panel and attach it to the door's wire harness. Move the window to the set position and remove both nuts which hold the glass against the window regulator. After that, remove the stabilizer nut and pull the door glass off the regulator, so it is fully up. With the glass in the up position, fix it with a wedge or another body, then take the regulator all way down. Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the lower regulator bolt as you loosen the two at the top. Pull the regulator upward until it exits the keyhole slots on the door panel and remove it from the hole in the inner door. Slide the regulator through the hole in the inner door panel, put the bolts into the keyhole slots and take care to slide them so they are flush with the inside of the door. More accurately, tighten all four regulator bolts gently without using air so they come to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs) just after proper alignment. Attach the electric connector, ripple mount the stabilizer, install the nut and turn it till it reaches 10 N.m (89 in.lbs). Go to the required position on the regulator, detach the glass support and then fix it to the regulator lift plate. Add the glass nuts and tighten them to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs). When all is done, remove the window switch and fit it onto the door before attaching the waterdam.
