How to Repair a Crankshaft Seal on 2000 Dodge Viper?

Remove the air cleaner, air cleaner tube and drive belt after which you should take off the crankshaft damper to service and repair the front crankshaft seal. Be careful when removing the crankshaft oil seal with Special Tool C-4679-A, to avoid harming the crankshaft seal inside the cover. Special Tool MD 998306 should be used to set the new seal into the opening, facing the spring towards the engine, with all edges touching the cover. After that, fit back the crankshaft damper, put the accessory drive belt in place and then the last two items-the air cleaner and its tubes.
