2000 Dodge Viper Throttle Cable Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace a Throttle Cable on 2000 Dodge Viper?
A: The first step is to take off the throttle cable from the throttle cam. While in the vehicle, step on the accelerator and then take off the cable retainer and the throttle cable on the pedal. Pull the tabs at the front and push the retainer out at the driver's dash panel, then remove the cable assembly. First, place the cable assembly through the dash opening, then attach the retainer on the wire. With the pedal raised by your feet, put the throttle cable and its retainer in place at the top of the pedal shaft. Simply put the other end of the throttle cable into the driver's side throttle body and push it into the retaining clip.
