2000 Dodge Viper Weather Strip Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix the Rear Door Weather Strip on 2000 Dodge Viper?
A: The first step to service a rear door weather strip is to unclip the push pin at the bottom of the windshield that holds the door opening weather strip to the A-pillar. Go on to pull the weather strip out of the flange below the door sill, B-pillar and lower A-pillar, along with the weather strip retainers at the top of the A-pillar and on the roof and windshield and then remove it from the car. When installing, put the push pin fastener in the weather strip into the matching hole in the A-pillar at the bottom of the windshield. Put the weather strip between the weather strip retainers on the windshield side and push it gently along the frame. If you need to, place adhesive on the back of the weather strip and attach it to the flange on the lower part of the A-pillar, door sill and B-pillar, then gently push the weather strip into place along the flange in all these areas.
