How to Service and Repair a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2000 Jeep Cherokee?

In order to repair the front door latch, remove the door trim panel and waterdam, then unscrew and disconnect the latch. If applicable unconnect the power lock motor wire. For installation, reconnect the latch, and secure it with screws at 11 N.m torque and reinstall the waterdam and trim panel.
