2000 Jeep Wrangler Glove Box Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a Glove Box on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Remove the negative cable from the battery before trying to take the glove box out. Pull the latch to open the glove box. Prop the glove box open with one hand and then with the other, grasp the check strap near the door and gently pull out the rolled end. Push the glove box door down so the hinge sections come away from the instrument panel hinge pins and then remove the glove box from the panel. While installing, place the glove box under the instrument panel and hook the hinge formations on the glove box to the hinge pins. Tilt the glove box door's top edge toward the instruments and, while the door is supported, feed the rolled check strap back into its location. Close the glove box after you're finished and then put the battery negative cable back.
