2001 Chrysler Sebring Air Filter Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain Your Air Filter for Optimal Performance on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before servicing the air filter, first detach the negative battery cable and disconnect the inlet air temperature sensor electrical connector. Afterwards, take the fresh air makeup hose off the throttle body air inlet hose and the PCV hose off the intake manifold. Open the screw on the throttle body air inlet hose clamp and take out the hose. First, slide back the locking tabs and pull out the air inlet hose from the air cleaner housing. Then, over the whole assembly, pull both the air cleaner and its air inlet hose out together. Before installation, clean inside of the air cleaner housing and then insert the air filter onto the throttle body inlet pipe. Insert the hose from the air cleaner housing into the throttle body air inlet, so it clicks and then fasten the hose clamp onto the hose at the throttle body. Reattach the PCV hose to the intake manifold, the hose from fresh air and the inlet air temperature sensor's power cable and then connect the negative cable of the battery back to its terminal.
