2001 Chrysler Sebring Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair Fuel Injectors on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Removing the fuel rail is the first step to working on the fuel injectors. Cut the plug off the fuel rail and move the fuel rail so that the injectors are easily exposed. Grip the injector and twist it to pull out of the rail, ensure the clip is attached as you do so. Look at the O-ring on the injector; if it has any damage, change it. For reuse, put a protective cap over the injector tip and be sure to replace the damaged injector clip. First, lubricate the rubber O-ring with a bit of clean engine lubricant before inserting a new injector. Place the open edge of the injector clip into the top slot of the injector, with the side slots of the clip receiving the receiver cup's edge. Fit the injector's top end into the receiver cap on the fuel rail, ensuring you do not harm the O-ring. Repeat these methods for all injectors and restore the wiring to your fuel injectors.
