2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Ignition Coil Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Coil on 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Before services, make sure to disconnect the negative battery cable. Take out the clip holding the throttle and speed control cables and then remove the 2 bolts attaching the power steering reservoir to the intake manifold. Unscrew the lower nut for the power steering reservoir from the ignition coil bracket stud and relocate the reservoir. After that, cut the cables running to the ignition coil and unconnect the electrical connector. Remove the nuts from the studs at the end of the ignition coils and then unbolt the coils to exteriorize them. Cover the studs on the bracket with the new coil and attach it using the 2 bolts. Put the 2 nuts onto the ignition coil studs and then tighten them with the bolts. Securely attach the electrical connector from the ignition coil and attach your ignition cables. Put the reservoir back into place, slide the bracket over the mounting stud and clamp it in place with 2 bolts to the intake manifold. Attach the lower nut to the stud on the ignition coil bracket, put the throttle and speed control cables back on the clip and next connect the battery negative cable.
