2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: First, you should cut off the negative cable from the battery before servicing or repairing the throttle body. After that, disconnect the cable leaving the air hose clamp at the throttle body and take out the throttle and speed control cables from the lever and bracket. Take out the wires from the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor (TPS). After that, take out the throttle body by removing the bolts and remove the gasket. When installing, put on a new gasket, then set the throttle body in place and secure it with bolts tightened to 11.6 Nm (105 ± 20 in. lbs.). Attach the electrical connectors to the idle air control motor and TPS again, connect the air inlet to the throttle body hose clamp and tighten it and clamp the negative cable back onto the terminal.
