How to Maintain a Brake Light Switch on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500?

In order to service the brake light switch, disconnect the switch harness, which needs to be removed by taking off the knee bolster. Keep the brake pedal depressed, and turn the switch counterclockwise to get tabs in position, then pull it out. To install it, connect the new switch, position tabs, clockwise to lock and install knee bolster.
