How to Remove and Install Wheel Covers and Valve Stem Extensions on 2001 Dodge Ram 3500?

Around the wheel's edges, place a hub/cap remover/installer tool, then rotate it to remove the wheel trim cover. To install the extension at the rear, make sure one 1 1/2 inch stem is fitted on each rear inner wheel with a 3/8 inch drive 10 mm socket and a 10 inch or longer extension. At this stage, fit one 1 inch valve stem extension on the outer wheels, line up the cooling slots in the skin with those in the wheel and setup one part of the retainer on the wheel. Pound the skin where it meets the outer part of the rim until it seats evenly, with no large gap between the skin and the wheel. Pull lightly on the skin surrounding the wheel hub/cap to guarantee it has been installed properly. While installing the valve face-up in front, place the valve stem at the notch in the wheel skin, secure one wire retainer on the wheel with your hand and press the remaining retainer with a rubber hammer until it comes to rest properly. Pull on the hub cap or wheel skin to make sure it is on properly.
