How to Maintain and Fix an Alternator on 2001 Jeep Cherokee?

To service alternator, remove the negative battery cable and remove the generator drive belt. Access wire connectors by removing certain bolts for LHD or for RHD vehicles. Disconnect the B+ terminal and field wire and remove the generator. Reinstall, reverse steps and connect the battery cable again.
