How to Maintain a Fuel Tank Skid Plate on 2001 Jeep Cherokee?

To service the fuel tank skid plate, support it, then remove the bolts attaching it to the underbody. After removing the skid plate, position it back under the fuel tank, install and tighten the bolts to 74 N.m (55 ft.lbs.) torque, and finally remove the support.
