What is the Purpose of a Piston Ring Set on 2002 Chrysler Concorde?

To service the piston ring, the piston and connecting rod should be removed then the piston rings should be removed. Take the clearance measurement and place the No. 2 ring with the manufacturer mark upside down. Install the rings sequentially with the end gaps in place to allow proper control of oil.
