How to Service and Repair an Engine Mount on the Left Side on 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

If you wish to work on the left engine mount, first remove the air cleaner assembly and separate the negative cable from the battery. After that, take out the bolts joining the PDC bracket to the left mount and battery tray. Lift the transaxle up on a jack, remove its to transaxle bolts, then take out the left mount bracket to body frame rail fasteners before removing the mount. The first step in installation is to mount the engine support bracket at the body frame rail and tighten the fasteners to 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.). Place the engine/transaxle where you can reach the mount to transaxle bolts, attach them and tighten to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.). First, remove the jack from under the transaxle, then replace the bolts on the left side bracket and battery tray to attach the PDC, after that attach the battery's negative cable and finally secure the air cleaner assembly.
