How to Service and Repair a Right Engine Mount on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before you can service or repair the engine mount, remove the engine assembly as this gives the extra space you need. A permanent marker should be used to indicate the mount's spot on the body frame rail so the oversized milled holes in the right engine mount are lined up correctly with the engine. Following marking, remove the bolts that secure the mount to the body and then unfasten the mount. Align the mount so that it rests in its previous spot on the body frame rail for installation. Should the position of the mount need to be marked again or a rail was replaced, position the mount loosely in the frame rail, make sure the four holes are lined up and then mark the frame rail above the engine mount. While the mount is in the proper spot, apply and tighten the bolts to 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.) before returning the engine arrangement to the chassis.
