2002 Chrysler Sebring Oil Pressure Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Oil Pressure Switch on 2002 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before servicing the oil pressure sensor, lift the vehicle on a hoist and remove the heat shield over the switch. Open the oil pressure switch connector and move an oil collecting container below where the switch is located. Turn the screws and remove the switch from its spot inside the engine block. First, use a small amount of Mopar Thread Sealant on the switch threads, then mount the oil pressure switch. Fit the electrical connector back in and install the heat shield once more. Drop the car down, power up the engine, look for leaks and then check the oil level in the engine and top it off as needed.
