- Q: How to Remove and Install a Front Axle Shaft on 2002 Chrysler Town & Country?A: To take out the axle shaft, lift up the vehicle, take out front tire and disassemble the caliper assembly. Disassemble the rotor of the brake, tie rod nut, and lower ball joint nut. Unscrew the halfshaft and the steering knuckle, then the inner tripod. Install the new joint, reassemble the components and install all nuts to the required torque.
