2002 Chrysler Town & Country Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Output Speed Sensor on a 41TE Automatic Transmission for Input on 2002 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: To service the output speed sensor, open the circuit by disconnecting the battery negative wire and raise the vehicle up with a hoist. Subsequently, forget the output speed sensor's connector and remove the sensor, looking at the O-ring while doing so and changing it if damaged. You must confirm that the O-ring is fitting correctly onto the pulley and you should only tighten the input speed sensor to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) after installation. Then, join the speed sensor connector to its terminal and the battery negative cable to its post.
