  A: For assembly service, remove the vacuum tube from the electrical EGR transducer and make sure the part is not damaged. After that, remove the wire from the solenoid, then remove the bolts that secure the EGR valve to the adaptor in the cylinder head and pull out the EGR valve. Clean the gasket spot, get rid of the old one, look for signs of cracks or leakage and address them with a repair or replacement. The installation begins by mounting the EGR valve while using a fresh gasket on the cylinder head adaptor. Loosely put the EGR valve bolts onto the EGR tube and the cylinder head. Compress the bolt on the EGR valve and the cylinder head to 22.8 Nm (200 (+/-) 25 in. lbs.) torque and the bolt on the EGR valve and to the EGR tube to 11.9 Nm (105 (+/-) 20 in. lbs.) torque. After that, reattach the vacuum hose and the electrical cable to the electrical EGR transducer.
