How to Service and Repair the Drive Belt for Power Steering Pumps on 2002 Dodge Caravan?

Release the locking nuts (D) and (F) which are on top of the vehicle, to service or repair your power steering pump belt. After that, beneath the drive, unscrew the pivot bolt (E) and the adjusting bolt (G) enough to take out the belt. Before putting in the new drive belt, clean all oil, grease and coolant from the belt pulleys grooves. Replace the belt if its cords look worn out, there's heavy glazing or excess wear is evident. Seeing some cracks develop across the ribbed part of the Poly-V Belt system after reverse bending is fine, but any cracks that run side by side are not allowed. Do not put belts dressing or restorer on Poly-V Belts. During installation, put the belt over the crankshaft and power steering pump pulleys and gently tighten fasteners (E) and (F). Check that the belt is properly tightened, then grip the locking nuts on both sides until they reach a 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) torque setting and tighten the pivot bolt (E) to the same amount of torque.
