2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Power Steering Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Hose for Supply Hose on 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Start by taking off the lid on the power steering fluid reservoir and then drain as much of the fluid as you can with a siphon pump. Have an oil drain pan underneath the vehicle while you are draining the oil. Following this, take off the clamp that holds the supply hose in place and release the hose from the fluid reservoir. Pull up on the hose routing clip to release it from the bracket and if you can't access the hose at the pump, remove the air cleaner housing. Take off the clamp joining the supply hose to the power steering pump, pull the hose off the pump and take it outside. When putting the hose in place, attach the supply end to the power steering pump and clamp it onto the fluid reservoir, going over the bead there. Slide the routing clip into the bracket hole on the cylinder head using the supply hose as a guide and push it into the position. Once again, attach the hose to the reservoir, put the hose clamp in its place and make sure that it is secured past the bead on the hose fitting. To complete, fill and bleed the power steering system with the help of the Power Steering Pump Initial Operation Procedure and then check the system for any leaks.
