How to replace the heater core on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

Open up the engine compartment, then take out the heater-A/C housing. After that, remove the upper cover from the heater-A/C area. After that, take out the screw attaching the heater core tube support bracket to the top mounting boss of the heater-A/C housing and move the heater core out. To install, connect the new heater core to the base of the heater-A/C housing, then fasten the bracket to the mounting boss, turning it until it reaches 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). After completing that, replace the top cover on the housing and put it back into the engine compartment.
