How to replace the heater core on 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

Before starting, take off the heater-A/C housing from the engine. After that, open the top lid of the heater-A/C unit. After that, take out the screw holding the heater core tube support bracket to the mounting boss on the top of the heater-A/C housing and lift the heater core out. Insert the new heater core into the lower part of the heater-A/C housing and then secure the support tube bracket to the boss on top of the housing, fastening it to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). After that, attach the top cover to the heater-A/C housing and fit the heater-A/C housing back into the engine compartment.
