How to Replace a Tail Light on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Removing the screw on the tail lamp assembly and the aperture panel will let you replace the tail lamp. Slide the lamp assembly down through the sheet metal opening and immediately remove it from the car. After that, disconnect the bulb socket(s) from the inside of the housing and pull out the used bulb(s). To install, push each bulb into its socket and then fit the socket and the bulb into the tail lamp assembly and turn it clockwise until snug. Operate the lamps after installation, then line up the opening in the tail lamp housing with the aperture in the sheet metal. Set the lower tab into the tab holder, then turn the lamp forward so that the clips snap into place. Move the lamp assembly into place from underneath and attach the tail lamp attaching screw on the outside.
